Only 8,654 registed voters in three parishes showed up to cast their ballots Saturday, April 15 for the two candidates vying for the District Judge seat in Division C. Glen Fallin received 4,708 votes or 54.4 percent to Jonathan Stewart's 3,946 votes or 45.6 percent.

A child must be four years of age on or before September 2000 to enroll.   Homer Elementary Preschool Registration May 1, 2 - Homer Elementary Preschool Registration will be held Monday and Tuesday, May 1 and 2 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Both prechools--Starting Points Preschool Program and Title I Preschool Program--are limited to 20 students and require registration and testing. Starting Points requires parents provide proof of employment or enrollment in an institution of learning at least 20 hours a week and they must meet a monthly income scale.
