- Board Gives McClung Administrator Job And $50,000 Salary
The Homer Memorial Hospital Board Of Directors Approved An Admittance Policy For Non-Emergency Cases Only, Which Would Require All Patients With Previous Bad Debts, Or Self-Pay Patients Who Have Addresses Outside Claiborne Parish, To Pay $2000 Or Their Old Debt Before The Hospital Would Admit Them.

By Susan T. Herring,  Editor, The Guardian-Journal

As the basketball season comes to a close and the track season gets underway, high school boys and girls are busy preparing for track meets. If you were to mention the name Reggie Day to them, they wouldn't have a clue who you were talking about--and for good reason. None of them were even born when "Runnin' Reggie" was competing and setting records at Homer High and Louisiana Tech in the 1960s.
